Kiribati Institute of Technology (KIT) is a leading vocational education and training institute in Kiribati offering in-demand award and short courses for trades and non-trades industries. With over 50 years of experience (since 1970), our quality training will enhance your employment opportunities domestically and internationally through accredited and non-accredited courses. KIT is a government-owned TVET Institute; a division of the Government of Kiribati Ministry of Employment and Human Resource (MEHR), working in close partnership with the Marine Training Centre (MTC). Each year, KIT enrols over 280 students into our Betio and Kiritimati campuses, with over 400 students participating in accredited study each term. KIT launched its Kiritimati Island campus in March 2019. We also have a learning centre on the island of Abemama. Our campuses offer a friendly, safe, clean, and culturally sensitive training environment with modern resources and support services. KIT qualifications are recognised in Australia, New Zealand and throughout the Asia Pacific region which provides further options for to study overseas. KIT is accredited with the Educational Quality and Assessment Programme (EQAP) and has sub-contract agreements in place with Australian Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to award international qualifications through the KIT Developmental Recognition of Prior Learning Model.
