Kiribati-Australia Skills for Employment Partnership

Kiribati Institute of Technology is supported by the Ministry of Employment and Human Resource and the Australian Government funded Kiribati-Australia Skills for Employment Partnership (formerly the Kiribati Facility).

The Kiribati-Australia Skills for Employment Partnership supports KIT to become a demand-driven, regionally recognised centre of excellence in skills training. This support extends to the vision and development of KIT as a training provider of choice nationally and its ongoing contribution to regional and international skills sectors and labour markets.

Milestones

In 2022, the Kiribati-Australia Skills for Employment Partnership supported KIT to host a networking event for its global partners. A video was produced and launched at the event to celebrate the skills for employment pathways through KIT.

In 2021, the Kiribati Facility acknowledged 10 years of skills training partnership between Australia and Kiribati through KIT.
